What did the design team use for inspiration on the Grand Wagoneer?
The Grand Wagoneer has been specially designed to be a top-of-the-line SUV. They achieved this by keeping to a modern yet classic concept through the whole interior. The iconic seven-slot grille has been upgraded with Obsidian Black accents. This state-of-the-art SUV offers four different screens in the Grand Wagoneer, with a total of 75 inches! The first is the 12.3-inch driver display, a 12.1-inch wide touchscreen located in the center console as the main display screen, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen. Second-row passengers will have 30 inches of screen space, a first-in-segment 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 10.1-inch display screen in the available center-console if buyers opt for the captain’s chairs. The all-new Uconnect 5 system operates at speeds five times faster than the previous generation. This new system uses an Android-based operating system allowing for over-the-air updates.
How does the Quadra-Lift air suspension system work?
Buyers will have two engines to choose from, a 6.4-liter V-8 engine and a 5.7-liter V-8 engine. This 5.7-liter offers next-generation technology with a 48-volt eTorque hybrid. The 6.4 liter brings with it a best-in-class tow capacity of 10,000 pounds. The 5.7-liter V-8 will be the standard engine providing 392 horsepower in a smooth, broad powerband, enhanced with fuel-saving technologies that include variable camshaft timing and cylinder deactivation. Drivers will have a Quadra-Lift air suspension system that will be able to add up to 3.6 inches of lift to your Grand Wagoneer. Four-corner air springs will provide an air-cushioned, premium ride. This system will operate automatically as well as manually with controls in the console. Drivers will have five height settings to choose from, all of which will provide optimum ride performance. When placed in Normal Ride mode, drivers will have 8 inches of clearance. This setting offers improved fuel economy, as well as improved aerodynamics during on-road driving. When switched to Off-road 1, the vehicle lifts an additional inch, and Off-road 2 an extra 2 inches. When you place the Wagoneer in Park Mode, it will lower down 1.6 inches allowing for easy exit and entry. Aero Mode will lower the vehicle by 0.6 inches from NRH. Aero mode is controlled by the Grand Wagoneer’s speed and will adjust for the most favorable fuel economy and performance.
Active Driving Assist will come on the all-new Grand Wagoneer!
With over 120 safety features, the 22 Grand Wagoneer was designed to keep everyone safe. The Active Driving Assist system uses advanced technology to offer a safe ride using automated braking and acceleration. Active Driving Assist will help you keep your Grand Wagoneer centered in the road providing ultimate control. Grand Wagoneer’s Intersection Collision Assist systems detect possibly risky situations when you draw near an intersection. The system will notify you when a vehicle is approaching and will automatically apply the brakes.
