Kicking off the 2023 Dodge Hornet lineup is the GT trim. This entry-level trim brings a wide range of not-so-entry-level features. Underneath the hood of the 2023 Dodge Hornet GT is the brand’s new Hurricane4 two-liter turbocharged I-4 engine. Linked to a nine-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, the turbocharged engine powers an all-wheel drive system with active torque vectoring, sending power both front to back and side to side. The Hornet R/T brings out exciting performance for Hornet drivers, using Dodge’s first-ever plug-in hybrid electric vehicle system. Powering the Hornet R/T is a 1.3L turbocharged I-4 engine and a rear axle-mounted electric motor. Working together, these components give the Hornet over 285 horsepower and an impressive 383 lb-ft of torque, 140 of which is available instantly. Adding to its impressive performance, the R/T trim comes with Dodge’s PowerShot feature, which provides a 15-second burst of 30 extra horsepower!
