The power of the Grand Cherokee
You can choose one of three engine options with the 2023 Grand Cherokee, and each one will provide drivers with some exceptional power. The base engine is a 3.6-liter V6 that pumps out a massive 293 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Looking at a higher trim like Overland, Summit, or Trailhawk? Then you will have the option of a 5.7-liter V8 that makes a spectacular 357 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. The final engine is known as the 4xe, and it’s a massive hybrid engine that comes with a battery pack and two electric motors and delivers an exceptional 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque and 25 miles of all-electric range. In 2023, you get this engine for the Trailhawk trim! All of these engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the rear-wheel-drive is standard V6, but a four-wheel-drive is available. You can get four-wheel-drive which is standard on the 4xe and the V8.
What features can I get with the Grand Cherokee?
There are a ton of reasons to be a Grand Cherokee owner, and chief among them is the amount of tech, luxury, and performance features you can get throughout the lineup! Starting with the Laredo, the Grand Cherokee comes with a Uconnect 5 infotainment system with an 8.4-inch digital touchscreen, wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa compatibility. Higher-level trims are more advanced in terms of features as you have access to items such as a passenger-side touchscreen, air suspension, massaging front seats, ultra-premium McIntosh audio system, and a night vision camera. Then there are the luxury items which include leather seats, a sunroof, a more extensive and more functional touchscreen infotainment system, and heated seats. Going off-road? We suggest the Trailhawk! It comes with all the latest off-road items, such as front tow hooks, a front-facing camera, gloss black roof, hill ascent and descent control, an electronic rear limited-slip differential, all-terrain tires, and an adaptive air suspension with selectable ride height settings.
How safe is the Grand Cherokee?
Now that we have discussed the power and the features you can get with the Grand Cherokee, it’s time that we talk about how Jeep keeps you safe! Standard is an Adaptive Cruise Control system that will allow you to maintain a pre-set distance between the Grand Cherokee and the vehicle in front of you. Another standard safety system is the Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear-Cross Path Detection, which will monitor the areas around the Grand Cherokee so you can make safer lane changes and see all the vehicles coming up behind you! There is also a Lane Keeping Assist system that will help keep your Grand Cherokee in its lane if you drift. You can also get a Forward Collision Mitigation system and Rear Parking Sensors, which will help you back onto a parking space.
