Exclusive Design Features for the 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition offers exclusive design features in addition to those that come standard with all Rubicon 392 models. The hood of the Rubicon 392 Final Edition features an exclusive ‘Final Edition’ decal, while smaller matching decals can be found on the front fender air vents, letting onlookers know of its exclusive status. While optional for the regular Rubicon 392, the Final Edition comes standard with the Xtreme 35 package, which adds massive 35-inch BFGoodrich T/A KO2 all-terrain tires encircling the 17-inch bronze-finished beadlock-capable alloy wheels. Taking an all-around look at the Final Edition of the Rubicon 392, you’ll find an additional half-inch lift from the factory, a factory-installed Warn winch with an 8,000-pound capacity, a high-strength steel bumper, and Mopar heavy-duty rock rails. The added lift raises the Rubicon 392’s ride height to a towering 11.6 inches which affords the Final Edition with 34.5 inches of water fording. Inside, the Final Edition gains 12-way power-adjustable front seats, performance seat bolsters, Black Nappa leather seating with Mayan Gold stitching, and Tupelo highlights strategically placed around the cabin.
What Engine Powers the 2025 Wrangler Rubicon 392?
Across the Wrangler lineup, the most common engine is the trusted 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine that offers 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. While this is plenty of power for anything and everything that the Wrangler is designed for, the Rubicon 392 trim takes it to new heights. Lifting the hood of the Rubicon 392 uncovers a 6.4L HEMI V8 engine, boasting a heart-pounding 470 horsepower and matching 470 lb-ft of torque. This power can be translated into a 4.5-second 0-60 time and 13-second quarter-mile time. Delivered to all four wheels by a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission and Jeep’s Selec-Trac full-time automatic 4×4 system, the Rubicon 392 is geared to provide exhilarating performance from the blacktop to the desert dunes and everything in between. For even more excitement, the transmission can be controlled by steering wheel paddle shifters. The 392 cubic inch HEMI engine is known for its distinctive growl. This is harnessed by the Wrangler Rubicon 392’s dual-mode active exhaust system. In Normal mode, the exhaust is sent through the entire exhaust system, keeping the engine noise to a quiet growl. Meanwhile, Performance mode closes a valve to the resonator, bypassing it to let out the distinctive earth-shaking HEMI roar. These modes can be selected by buttons found on the Wrangler Rubicon 392’s center stack.
Off-Roading Features of the Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition
It’s easy to assume that the Wrangler Rubicon 392 is exclusively designed for an on-road thrill ride with its immense power and exhilarating launch times. However, the Wrangler Rubicon made a name for itself by providing off-road enthusiasts with unrivaled all-terrain capabilities. This begins with the Rubicon 392’s towering ground clearance, while the standard Rubicon 392 stands tall at 11.1 inches of ground clearance, a towering 11.6 inches is provided by the Final Edition package. Meanwhile, the Rubicon 392 also adds improved breakover, approach, and departure angles and an optimized wheelbase, allowing it to easily pass over obstacles and maneuver narrow passes. The Rubicon 392 also features FOX gas-charged monotube shock absorbers with a two-inch lift from the factory, while the Final Edition features a 2.5-inch lift. Like the regular Rubicon trim, the Rubicon 392 also features electronic sway bar disconnect. This allows for greater front wheel articulation by unlinking the front stabilizer bar to allow the front wheels to rise and drop further. The result of this is maintaining traction by keeping the wheels on the trail no matter how uneven it gets. Also standard for the Rubicon 392 is Jeep’s Off-Road+ button with Sand and Rock modes to optimize the transmission shift points, throttle control, power output, torque split, and traction control for the selected terrain. Finally, using the Rubicon 392’s exclusive hood scoop, it features the advanced Hydro Guide air intake. This gives the HEMI engine clean air while traversing water using three channels to whisk up to 15 gallons of water away from the air intake per minute. Plus, if a bow break washes over the hood, secondary air intakes are in place to continuously provide the engine with fresh air.
