There’s no denying the fact that the automotive industry is heading toward an electric future. With each model year bringing more and more electric vehicles, Ram is joining the pack with the all-new 2025 Ram 1500 REV. Drawing from years of designing the Ram 1500, Ram created the next generation of the legendary truck with a modernized look on an all-electric platform. Additionally, Ram aims to be a leader in the electric truck segment in terms of payload, towing capacity, and driving range. Below, you can learn more about the first-ever, all-electric Ram 1500 REV!

Ram 1500 REV Exterior Design

Although it’s clear that the exterior design of the 2025 Ram 1500 REV is inspired by the Ram 1500’s current design, the REV offers a more modern, even futuristic appearance, signifying that it marks the future of the brand. For example, the ‘RAM’ lettering on the grille has a more modern look and is outlined in brilliant LED lighting. On either side of the grille, your eyes will be drawn to the ‘tuning fork’ LED daytime running lights on the redesigned headlight housings. A storage compartment called a frunk (short for front trunk) is underneath the hood with the absence of an internal combustion engine. The frunk offers additional cargo storage, a power release hood, and all-weather lining. Even more, storage can be found over the rear driver’s side fender with the RamBox external storage compartment, which can be used for cargo, as a toolbox, and even as a cooler, featuring drain plugs to drain out melted ice. The RamBox also features a 115-volt power outlet to power your tailgating accessories. At the rear, you’ll find reshaped taillights flanking the upgraded ‘RAM’ script.

Cabin Design of the Ram 1500 REV

The Ram 1500 REV’s interior is also inspired by the current form of the Ram 1500. However, it features a variety of upgrades, ushering in the next generation of automotive comfort and convenience. Like the current Ram 1500, the REV brings the Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, and Limited trim levels. However, the 2025 Ram 1500 REV introduces a new trim level, Tungsten, which takes the luxury of the Limited trim and dials it up a few notches. In its current form, the Ram 1500 Limited features a 12-inch touchscreen, which will remain in the REV. However, the Tungsten adds Ram’s largest touchscreen ever, sitting at 14.5 inches. All of the Ram 1500 REV’s touchscreens are powered by Uconnect 5, which offers advanced technologies like Amazon Alexa with home-to-car functions, 4G LTE WiFi, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, and TomTom navigation with live updates and voice activation with natural speech. The Tungsten also adds Ram’s first-ever front passenger touchscreen. At 10.25 inches, the passenger touchscreen gives the front passenger co-piloting features like camera access, navigation, entertainment, and more. The Tungsten also features two wireless charging pads and 24-way power-adjustable front seats with heating, cooling, and massaging.

What Powers the Ram 1500 REV?

Of course, what sets the Ram 1500 REV apart from the current Ram 1500 most is its all-electric powertrain. Instead of settling for the middle of the pack with its first all-electric truck, Ram set out to create the most capable all-electric truck to date. To do this, they gave it one 250-kilowatt (kW) electric drive module (EDM) on each axle, powering all four wheels for phenomenal all-terrain capability. The EDMs are powered by a 168-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery pack as standard equipment, giving drivers a range of up to 350 miles. While 350 miles is impressive for an EV, a larger 229-kWh battery pack is optional for the REV, offering a range of up to 500 miles. In addition to the excellent range, the REV achieves 645 horsepower and 620 lb-ft of instantaneous torque. Ram has stated that, with this power, they’re targeting 14,000 pounds of towing capacity, a 2,700-pound payload capacity, and a heart-pounding 4.4-second 0-60 time. In addition to the impressive power numbers, Ram is set to lead the class in terms of ride quality and all-terrain handling. This is thanks to the four-corner air suspension with adaptive damping, along with the multi-link independent rear suspension. The air shocks are height-adjustable with the lowest setting, Enter/Exit, Normal, Aero, Off-Road 1, and Off-Road 2, the highest setting.
