This creates more of a development in storing all of this new energy and fewer coal plants. Over the next twenty years, they will be able to add over 15,000 megawatts of renewable energy projects.
The Stellantis and DTE Energy Commitment

These companies will be working hard to add 400 megawatts of new solar projects in the state of Michigan. This will avoid more than 670,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions. These emissions would have been made annually and do not help with making our world a greener place. With this kind of cleaner energy, it will be able to power around 130,000 homes every year and is the second-largest purchase of renewable energy that has ever been made in America from a utility. By the year 2026, Stellantis will have the ability to utilize 100% of its electricity use to solar to create a brighter and cleaner future.

Where does Stellantis fall with DTE’s goals for the future? Earlier in the year Stellantis set some very aggressive goals to achieve a more emission-free future, with its carbon net zero goal by the year 2038. This goal is a part of the Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan that works hard to cut CO2 emissions but the end of the decade. This means putting their focus on offering more vehicles that emit zero emissions and looking at industrial sites and plants to make sure that less CO2 is being created.
