The 2022 Jeep Wrangler is one of the most iconic vehicles on the market, and it’s easy to see why! Not only does the Wrangler boast an impressive 80-year legacy, but it also has the true off-road abilities that you just can’t find anywhere else. For the 2022 model year, there are four main trim levels in the Wrangler lineup. These are the Sport, Sport S, Sahara, Rubicon, and Rubicon 392. Sport
The Sport is up first, and it comes with the standard engine for the lineup, a 3.6-liter V6 rated at 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Like all Wrangler models, the Sport has a removable roof, removable doors, and fold-down windshield. The Sport comes with 17-inch wheels, front tow hooks, and underbody skid plates. It has a rugged look and feel with crank windows, and manual door locks. It also has a wash-out interior with one-way drain plugs built right into the floor! The Sport features a two-door setup with four seats inside, and there’s also a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen on the dashboard.

Sport S
The Sport S follows the same general design as the Sport, but it adds a few extras to enhance your comfort, convenience, and overall driving experience. For example, the Sport S brings you power windows, and power door locks. It also features air conditioning, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel for a sleeker, more sophisticated look and feel. The Sport S also serves as the foundation for a number of sub-trims including the beloved Willys, which has a more rugged appearance, or the Altitude, which takes on a more luxurious design. The Sport S also features heated power-adjustable exterior mirrors, and a Uconnect 4 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto!

Sahara
Up next on the list is the Sahara. This trim level is available as either the classic two-door configuration, or the Wrangler Unlimited configuration which features four doors, and a five-seat layout inside. The Sahara includes features like a full-time 4X4 system, larger 18-inch wheels for a stronger silhouette, and body-colored fender flares for a more cohesive exterior appearance. Inside, it features an 8.4-inch touchscreen, as well as automatic climate control. The Sahara features a remote keyless entry system, and black side steps for easier entry and exit. When you choose the Sahara, you can also find available features like leather-trimmed seats, or an available high-strength windshield made of Corning Gorilla Glass.

Rubicon
The Rubicon takes the Wrangler design to the next level with the addition of off-road features such as the Rock-Trac 4X4 system, and all-terrain tirs. The Rubicon has a sporty hood decal, front and rear tow hooks, and heavy-duty Dana 44 front and rear axles. In addition to the standard underbody skid plates, the Rubicon also has rock rails to keep your undercarriage protected from uneven terrain. It also features electronic locking front and rear differentials which create better traction, and there’s also a disconnecting front sway bar for better front-wheel articulation.

Rubicon 392
The final trim level we’ll be discussing is the Rubicon 392, which takes the athleticism of the Jeep Wrangler to the next level. On this model, you’ll find an exclusive engine option, a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 known as “The 392”. This engine delivers 470 horsepower, and 470 lb-ft of torque. The Rubicon 392 is available only as a Wrangler Unlimited model with four doors, and it combines the Rubicon’s off-road ability with unique performance features. The Rubicon 392 features the Hydro Glide air induction system, dual exhaust, and FOX shock absorbers. It also offers features like leather-trimmed seats, LED headlights, and a premium Alpine sound system.
