For example, the technician will ensure that the brake pads have more than 50% of the lining remaining. Next, the vehicle will be road-tested. The technician will make sure all of the vehicle’s instruments and gauges work correctly and test the ride quality to ensure the transmission shifts smoothly, the engine performs flawlessly, and the steering and suspension hold the road. Then, all preventative maintenance services are performed. Next, all oils and fluids are changed, including the engine oil, transmission fluid, and differential fluids. The final step in the inspection is to ensure cosmetic perfection by ensuring all badges and emblems are in place and performing a full detail of the exterior, engine bay, and interior.
