Is the 2023 Charger Powerful?
You bet it is! There are several different engine options, and which one you get will depend on your trim level. The base engine is a 3.6-liter V6 capable of producing 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. If you want a little more horsepower, then if you decide on the rear-wheel-drive GT or all-wheel-drive SXT, you can up the horsepower to 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque. Next, we have the first V8 engine options, with the first available on the R/T! Here you will get a 5.7-liter V8 that doles out a massive 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. The Scat Pack is next, providing a 6.4-liter V8 that will get you around 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. Finally, we round things out with the Hellcat, which has a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that will get you a solid 717 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. Topping the range is the Hellcat Redeye that rounds things out with 797 horses and 707 lb-ft of torque!
Standard Features for the Charger
In addition to all the power the Charger provides, this fantastic vehicle also gives you some impressive features, even at the base trim. The SXT is the first trim, and it has 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry/ignition, remote start, configurable driver information display, sport front seats, cloth upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. If you need some tech, the SXT will oblige, as it has a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, two USB ports, voice control, and satellite radio. Of course, with all this power comes some tremendous responsibility, and the Charger has your back with things like traction/stability control, airbags, and a rearview camera.
What’s Available on Higher Trims of the Charger
If you decide on one of the higher trims of the Charger, then you will be treated to some more exciting items that will make your drive even more special. The GT trim comes standard with 20-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, a rear spoiler, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a self-dimming rearview mirror. The Scat Pack is next, and it ups the ante with features such as the Widebody package, Brembo brakes, a limited-slip differential, a heavier-duty cooling system, launch control configurable driving modes, driver’s-side memory settings, and heated front seats. Finally, we need to talk to you about the Hellcat trims! They round things out nicely with an intercooler system, blind-spot monitoring, self-dimming driver’s-side mirror, and ventilated seats. If you want, you can also opt for some more safety systems, such as a blind-spot monitor with rear-cross path detection.
